My name is Imran Ansari, Founder of Kaashi Threads. We belong to a family of traditional Banarasi weavers from the historic city of Varanasi. For generations, weaving has been more than a profession for us—it is our heritage, our identity, and our passion.
Growing up in a weaver’s family, I witnessed firsthand the dedication, craftsmanship, and hard work that go into creating every Banarasi saree. The rhythmic sound of looms, the intricate weaving techniques, and the artistry passed down from one generation to the next inspired me to continue this legacy and bring authentic Banarasi craftsmanship directly to customers across India.
